Extraterrestrial life which mean life exists another planet it could be simple(single cell) or complex intelligent life as well .
Please note:"mind you before a conclusion you have to think with an open mind at both aspects,
Many novels and flicks talk about alien invasions, discoveries, reveals and multiple extraterrestrial scenarios. There are also many people who have come forward stating they have encountered extraterrestrials in some way or another. A lot of the time, in the fictional sense in any case, depictions of alien interactions with humans shows panic and chaos consuming the human race.
The reality is though, it would be very difficult to predict just how we as a race would react to the discovery of extraterrestrial life.
A recent study had researchers analyze over five hundred responses from participants World Health Organization were shown a theoretical article of the invention of microbic alien life.
Interestingly, the majority of responses were optimistic about the ‘discovery’, however when asked, they believed others would be less positive about it. The results of the study however reveal that humankind as a whole may very well be ready for such a discovery

Just like earth, many scientists think that life begins from water.
*There is not any specific characteristics that earth is unique reason why,every materials or substances available in massive space everywhere.

1.the great filters
(I)In this hypothesis essential requirement for life may be very complex ,it required not only habitable zone,that every element which might be found only in earth it makes earth unique.may lack of this specific characteristics in the universe
(Il) the great filter also explain ,when any civilization rises at the time it will collapse by their own technology ,for example nuclear war,danger experiment,bio hazard etc
(lll) universe is so vast even our Milkyway expanded 100,000 light years,if extraterrestrial life exist then average distance between two civilization approximately 28,000 light years so we don't have any best technology to reach or contract others.we observe space only by radio telescope,light telescope ,which method is not guaranteed, it only assume.
Drake equation
In1961 DR.FRANK DRAKE presented the Drake equation in this concept argument life exist other star system,he's said" there are 10 billion stars and trillion planets in our Milkyway galaxy and One of its 5 is within the Habitable zone.if it is right then thousand of life expanded in our galaxy.
